Pioneering High-Performance Refractory Solutions for Global Metallurgy
Zhengzhou XZK Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (新中科集团) is a premier Chinese manufacturer specializing in advanced refractory materials and turnkey lining engineering for ironmaking, steelmaking, continuous casting, and industrial kilns.
Headquartered in Xinmi City—the world-renowned capital of refractory raw materials and manufacturing—XZK integrates mineral processing, automated high-pressure pressing, high-temperature firing, diamond pre-assembly machining, and complete EPC furnace relining engineering. Over the past two decades, XZK has grown into a trusted strategic partner for more than 400 heavy metallurgical plants across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and CIS countries.
Two Decades in the Xinmi Refractory Basin
Zhengzhou XZK Industrial Group Co., Ltd. is a source manufacturer of engineered refractory materials and complete furnace lining systems, headquartered in the Micun and Songlou refractory industrial zone of Xinmi City, Henan — the densest concentration of refractory raw material processing and manufacturing capacity in China. Operating from six specialised workshops with 100,000 metric tons of annual capacity, XZK supplies integrated steel plants, mini-mills, ferro-alloy producers and EPC contractors in more than 60 countries.
The group's scope runs from mineral processing and automated high-pressure pressing through ultra-high-temperature firing, diamond pre-assembly machining and turnkey furnace relining engineering. Over 60% of output is made to customer drawings, including large key shapes, taphole assemblies and pre-assembled purging blocks.
Research Led by Practitioners, Not Brochures
XZK's R&D centre is led by Chief Scientist Professor Shi Gan and focuses on the microstructural behaviour of refractories under the combined attack of molten slag, thermal cycling and mechanical load. The group holds 93 core patents and has contributed to the drafting of Chinese national and industry standards, including GB/T 4984-2023 (chemical analysis of zirconia-containing refractories), GB/T 44333-2024 (green product assessment for refractories), JC/T 2574-2020 (sillimanite bricks for glass furnaces) and T/CSTM 00853-2024 (chrome-zirconia-corundum bricks for glass furnace regenerators).
That work translates into products specified by mechanism: antioxidant packages matched to service temperature, grain distributions tuned to thermal shock exposure, and creep behaviour engineered rather than measured after the fact.
Manufacturing Built for Batch-to-Batch Repeatability
Refractory failure is rarely caused by a bad batch design — it is caused by variation between batches. XZK's answer is automation at every step that influences consistency:
- Fully automatic computer-controlled batching of high-purity mineral matrices.
- 630-ton to 2,000-ton class CNC hydraulic pressing for uniform green density.
- Ultra-high-temperature tunnel and shuttle kilns with computer-controlled firing curves.
- Diamond grinding and CNC machining of critical seating faces, with dry trial-fitting of pre-assemblies before shipment.
- Ultrasonic non-destructive testing and pre-assembly gap verification, with joint gaps held under 0.5 mm on critical assemblies.
Quality Management and Traceability
XZK operates under ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environment), ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety) and ISO 50001:2018 (energy management). Every production batch is chemically assayed and physically tested, and a Certificate of Analysis covering chemistry, bulk density, apparent porosity, cold crushing strength and hot modulus of rupture is issued with each shipment. Third-party verification by SGS, BV or TÜV can be arranged with witnessed sampling at our Xinmi laboratory.
Global Delivery
Shipments move FOB Qingdao or Tianjin, CIF to worldwide ports, or door-to-door. Standard grades dispatch in 7–14 days; custom pressed shapes requiring new tooling in 20–35 days. Packaging uses ISPM-15 fumigated heat-treated pallets with moisture-barrier lining and edge protection, date-stamped for shelf-life control.
To discuss a lining package, see our refractory portfolio, review project references, or send your furnace drawings for a 48-hour zonal proposal.
