What to Send for an Accurate Quotation
Refractory pricing is driven by chemistry and shape complexity, not by product name. The following five items let our engineers return a firm, itemised quotation instead of a placeholder range:
- Vessel type and capacity — BOF, EAF, ladle, torpedo car, tundish, blast furnace or reheating furnace, with tonnage.
- Lining position — slag line, metal zone, bottom, cone, taphole, purging seat, checker chamber, and so on.
- Operating conditions — tapping temperature, slag basicity (CaO/SiO₂), FeO content, refining route (LF, RH, VD, CAS-OB), and cycle frequency.
- Quantity and drawings — tonnage or piece count, plus CAD or a dimensioned sketch for shaped items.
- Current performance — present campaign life and which zone controls it. Photographs of the worn lining are the single most useful attachment you can send.
Commercial Terms
- MOQ — 10 metric tons for standard grades; 20 metric tons for custom zonal packages and special shapes. Functional flow-control items are quoted per set.
- Lead time — 7–14 days for standard items; 20–35 days where new tooling is required.
- Incoterms — FOB Qingdao or Tianjin, CIF to your port, and door-to-door delivery.
- Payment — T/T with deposit, or L/C at sight. Terms for framework agreements are negotiable.
- Samples — 2–3 standard pieces supplied free; freight collect. Shaped samples quoted case by case.
Inspection, Audits and Factory Visits
Every shipment carries a batch Certificate of Analysis. SGS, BV or TÜV inspection with witnessed sampling can be arranged before loading, and we will work to your own inspector's protocol. For new suppliers we support a structured qualification path: documentation review, sample evaluation, third-party witnessed testing, trial order, then framework supply. Factory audits and live video tours of the Xinmi workshops can be scheduled in advance; the site is approximately 45 minutes from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport (CGO).
